Bringing Music to Everyone in the Fox Valley

When you invest in access to the arts, you help create moments of connection, confidence, and joy that ripple throughout the community.

Through your support, Fox Cares is proud to fund programs like the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra’s In Harmony initiative—a program designed to bring interactive music experiences to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Expanding Access Where It Matters Most

Because of your generosity, professional musicians and a certified music therapist are able to bring music directly into classrooms, community programs, and care facilities. These are spaces where access to live symphonic music—and the benefits that come with it—might otherwise be limited.

Participants don’t just listen. They engage.

Through movement, percussion instruments, and guided activities, individuals connect with the music and with each other in ways that are both meaningful and transformative.

What Your Support Makes Possible

The impact of In Harmony is best seen in the moments happening within each session:

One participant describes the experience simply: “This is the highlight of my week.”

At another location, two regular attendees bring energy and participation to every session, encouraging others to join in and creating a more inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone in the room.

Strengthening Community Through Access

Since 2017, this program has expanded to more than 30 locations across the Fox Valley, reaching participants of all ages—from early childhood programs to adult day services and memory care communities.

These experiences do more than provide entertainment. They:

Why It Matters

When access to the arts expands, communities grow stronger.

Your support ensures that more people—regardless of ability or circumstance—can experience the connection and creativity that music brings. And in doing so, you’re helping build a more inclusive, vibrant Fox Valley.

Thank you for making this work possible.
